NEW for patients of Dr. Rowan

We are happy to announce tha Dr. Bogdan Petrisor will be joining our practice as a family doctor. Dr. Petrisor comes to us via the UK. He will be taking over the practice of Dr. Rowan as of May 15, 2025.

Dr. Rowan has practiced as a family doctor for 50 years and we will greatly miss his steadying presence in our practice. He was the first doctor to start at Rideau valley Health centre when it opened in 2010.

Dr. Rowan's patients can book with Dr. Petrisor's schedule once paperwork has been finalized by the Ministry of Health. We will post Dr. Petrisor's schedule and availability on our website. A reminder ONLY Dr. Rowan's will be able to book with Dr. Petrisor.

IMPORTANT RVHC physicians are currently NOT accepting any new patients. Unfortunately we are all full and we do NOT have an active waitlist. Please do not call the clinic inquiring about new physician availability

REMINDER for active patients of RVHC! The evening clinic is available for acute issues and can be booked by calling our reception. Saturday AM clinic is WALK IN before 11 AM (spots may fill up prior to 11 AM). ONLY for registered patients of RVHC.

ONLINE BOOKING

Please note that the Rideau Valley Health Services Online Booking Scheduler is the best and easiest way to book the next available appointment with your physician. To book an appointment you need to be a patient of RVHC. Click here to book and appointment. The suggested browser to access the online booking is Google Chrome. Remember the online portal is not to be used as a line of communication with our staff or physicians. You may only book with your own family physician.

If you wish to cancel a booking log into the MEDEO app and cancel the appointment.

* Please Note: Dr. Wu posts her own schedule online 2 weeks at a time. Please check back often as all available appointments are posted

Dr. Kate Volpini is a resident doctor part of the team supervised by Dr. Boyden and Dr. Nicoletti. Patients of Dr. Boyden, Dr. Nicoletti, Dr.Degani, Dr. Wu and Dr. Mohamdee can book online or by phone with Dr. Volpini

PHONE BOOKING

We are experiencing significant call volume. The phone booking system is recommended for access to SAME DAY URGENT evening and the weekend clinic access or for general questions. We are working hard to improve the telephone experience.

NO SHOW POLICY

Our no show/missed appointment fees are as follows:

$30 for Family medicine appointments- In person or virtual

$75 for Specialist appointments

COVID-19 UPDATE

As we are a medical facility we require that patients wear a mask if they have respiratory or infectious symptoms such as fever, cough sore throat, etc... when attending your appointment in clinic.

Artifical Intelligence

The following physicians have chosen to utilize artifical intelligence (AI) to help them document your visit: Dr. Nicoletti, Dr. Wu, Dr. Boyden and Dr. Degani.

This allows the physician a bit more time to focus on your needs and to reduces physician burnout. If you have question please ask them. If you prefer them not to use AI during your visit, please let them know.

New block billing option

As the cost of healthcare continues to rise, there is an increasing number of services that are not covered by the Ministry of Health that require significant time and resources to administer. The fees for these uninsured services are the responsibility of the patient or third-party organization requesting the service. A few examples of these uninsured services include:

PRESCRIPTION RENEWALS THROUGH PHONE/FAX, INSURANCE FORMS – ILLNESS/RETURN TO WORK NOTES

We have created two options going forward to help better service you with providing these uninsured services whenever required.

OPTION 1 – ANNUAL/ BLOCK FEE PROGRAM

This option is a one-time fee covering a full calendar year. This fee will cover a number of the uninsured services.

OPTION 2 – FEE FOR SERVICE

Pay for individual services, as they are required throughout the year.

You will be receiving a letter providing details on the Block Fee program. This program will be managed by a third party called Doctor service.
